From designing killer Pinterest pins to finding the best Pinterest WordPress plugin, this ultimate guide covers 12 of the best Pinterest marketing tools for beginner bloggers starting their blogging business.

Best Pinterest Marketing Tools for Bloggers

As a new blogger in the early stages of marketing your business with Pinterest, the number of WordPress plugins to choose from, Pinterest marketing tools, Chrome extensions, analytics, and more can be overwhelming. You may find yourself asking aloud, how do I choose the best one when there are so many?!

Fortunately for you, I’ve tried them all and have narrowed down the list to 12 of my favorite beginner-friendly and affordable Pinterest marketing tools and courses to get you started off on the right foot.

Using some (or all!) of these awesome Pinterest marketing tools will set your business up for success and take the guesswork out of finding the best tools to get the job done!

Best Pinterest Marketing Tools for WordPress Blogs

WordPress is by far my favorite (and the most powerful!) tool to build blogs and websites. And just so we’re clear — I’m talking about the self-hosted WordPress.org here, not WordPress.com. You can learn the differences between the two and decide which one is best for your needs.

The following WordPress plugins integrate themselves seamlessly into your WordPress blog, allowing your readers to effortlessly share and follow your Pinterest and other social accounts with a click of a button.

Grow by Mediavine Plugin

My favorite plugin for social sharing is the customizable GROW by Mediavine.

Once installed, Grow allows its users to add Pinterest images within each of their posts, as well as, the option to add hidden pinnable images that can be selected by your readers to pin when they click on the Grow plugin’s Pinterest social share icon located on your website.

MiloTree Plugin

MiloTree, perhaps the easiest and most valuable (not to mention affordable!) WordPress plugin of them all allows its users to create custom social popups on their websites with a call to action to follow you on Pinterest or any other social channel that you fancy.

Best Pinterest Marketing Tools for Pin Design

One of the most common reasons bloggers see their Pinterest traffic drop is because of poor pin design. While Pinterest’s creative best practices are certainly key to becoming successful on the platform, having beautifully crafted and easy to read pins is just as essential. And who knows? Maybe your pins will go viral on Pinterest!

If you have two thumbs when it comes to designing your own Pinterest images, hire a Pinterest pin designer who’s dedicated to creating custom, pin-worthy images for your brand!

Canva

I’m not afraid to admit it, I have an addiction and it is called, Canva. Canva is the standout when it comes to creating elegant, beautifully designed Pinterest pin-worthy images.

This web-based design platform takes graphic design and makes it approachable to the beginner just getting started with Pinterest marketing. Using many of Canva’s keyboard shortcuts, stock photos, videos, and Pinterest templates, you can easily design and create 20 eye-catching fresh pins in under 15 minutes.

Animotica

Animotica is an excellent video editing platform for Windows 10 that I’ve been using for a while to edit Pinterest video and story pins.

Not only is it insanely affordable, (check out their lifetime license!) but it’s also incredibly easy to use. Without help from how-to guides or tutorials, I’ve created dozens of simple videos for Pinterest.

This desktop app is so intuitive! I find myself recommending it over and over again.

Creative Market

Not only is Creative Market a goldmine for purchasing fonts, photos, and graphics, but it’s full of talented creators selling their beautifully crafted Pinterest templates that can be customized on the design platform of choice (Photoshop or Canva).

Basically, Creative Market is a blogger’s dream come true! I find myself browsing all the beautiful graphics to gather inspiration for my own creations.

Best Pinterest Marketing Tool for Scheduling

After you’ve created gorgeous click-worthy Pinterest images, don’t let all your hard work go to waste! Use a third-party scheduler designed for Pinterest marketing to schedule out your pins during the times your target audience is most active on Pinterest.

You may notice that I’ve only listed one Pinterest scheduling tool in this section and it’s for a good reason.

Tailwind

Tailwind is the greatest scheduler on the market and has zero competition when it comes to being an all-in-one Pinterest marketing powerhouse.

From scheduling your seasonal pins during peak times to using Tailwind Communities to share relevant content from other bloggers in your niche, Tailwind makes taking care of Pinterest marketing simple and all under one roof!

Best Pinterest Marketing Browser Extensions

Using Chrome (or your browser of choice) extensions to schedule Pinterest content is a no brainer, provided you know how to use them.

The following browser extensions work wonderfully in conjunction with  Grow by Mediavine, the social share plugin I mentioned earlier in this post.

Because Grow allows you to add a pin description to each of your pins, when you use your browser extension to schedule those Pinterest images, your keyword-rich pin description will populate itself for you directly into Pinterest.

Not only is this a time-saver for you, but it also means that when any of your readers pin from your website, a carefully researched pin description will go along with it.

Pinterest Save Button

The Pinterest Save Button Chrome extension allows you to easily save pinnable images from anywhere on the internet to any of your Pinterest boards.

Best of all, you can save the pins from your blog posts directly to your own Pinterest boards in a snap. This saves you time uploading individual pins into Pinterest and adding their titles/pin descriptions. That can be so time-consuming!

Tailwind Publisher

The Tailwind Publisher Chrome extension is easy to install and even easier to use.

What’s more, you can use this Chrome extension similar to the way you would the Pinterest Save Button, but with some added perks. For example, with the Tailwind extension, you can pull all the pins in your post directly into Tailwind for simple scheduling.

Do you have images that aren’t following Pinterest’s size requirements? No problem. When using the Tailwind extension, you can easily crop your photo instantly in a size that’s compliant with Pinterest’s best practices.

Best Pinterest Marketing Tools for Analytics

Ah, analytics! After putting so much time, energy, and effort into crafting a beautiful blog, you’ll certainly want to monitor whether or not all your hard work is paying off.

If you’re wondering why I don’t recommend Pinterest Analytics in this section, let me explain. Pinterest Analytics is notorious for being unreliable and inaccurate.

You may notice the metrics on your own account’s Pinterest Analytics displaying wonky numbers pretty much any time you look at them. They are not to be trusted!

The only way to get a complete and accurate understanding of how your pin-worthy images are doing on Pinterest is through the power of Google Analytics.

Google Analytics

Google Analytics is free for website users and is excellent for tracking all aspects of your blog — including, but not limited to traffic from social media, organic search, direct, and referrals. This powerful tool unlocks the ability to track what works and doesn’t work on your blog. Which is super helpful in curating future content.

If you’re a brand new WordPress blogger who hasn’t linked Google Analytics to your blog yet, you can easily install Google Analytics within a few minutes.

I know what you’re thinking — Google Analytics is confusing; There’s just too much to learn!

That’s where Kristie Hill’s free, beginner-friendly Pinterest Dashboard for Google Analytics comes in!

In less time than it takes to link Google Analytics to your website, you can add Kristie’s amazingly simple to understand dashboard that displays all the things you could ever want to know about traffic coming to your blog from Pinterest.

Tailwind Insights

If you’re already a Tailwind member, (and you should be!) you may know that the platform has its own analytics tracking called, Tailwind Insights.

Within your Tailwind dashboard, you can access Tailwind Insights to get a glimpse into your profile performance, pin inspector, board insights, top pins, and so much more!

Best Pinterest Marketing Courses

Let’s talk about Pinterest marketing courses, shall we?

It seems as though everyone is offering a Pinterest marketing course these days. There are so many in fact, that it can be hard to sift through all the bad ones that promote that their strategy will guarantee positive results. If you’re thinking about purchasing a course that uses any language like that, beware. You’ve been warned!

So which ones are worth your time and money?

Pinning Perfect

The Pinning Perfect course by Anna Luther and Melissa Culbertson is super approachable for the beginner blogger and budding Pinterest marketing expert.

Not only is the course affordable, but it’s updated twice a year (or any time Pinterest makes changes to their algorithm) and there’s even a wonderful free Facebook group for Pinning Perfect alumni to share their questions, experiences, and Pinterest wins.

Personally, this course has helped me formulate my own Pinterest marketing strategy and it’s the only one I’ll continue to endorse.

Pinterest Dashboard & Analytics Masterclass

Remember me mentioning my friend Kristie Hill’s free Pinterest dashboard earlier?

Well, that’s not all this smart lady has for you! Kristie’s Pinterest Dashboard & Analytics Masterclass is full of videos that walk you through using and optimizing your Pinterest dashboard. If you’re new to the world of analytics, Kristie’s course makes learning how to track Pinterest metrics a breeze! PLUS — It’s insanely cheap!

Pinterest Dashboard + Analytics Masterclass

Rather have a Pinterest marketing strategist handle your account?

If you’re overwhelmed at the thought of managing your Pinterest account alone, it may be time to hire a Pinterest manager. When you hand over your Pinterest account to a professional, you can rest assured that your account is taken care of by someone dedicated to growing your business and passionate about your brand.

Love these Pinterest tools! Do you mind adding Pinflux here too? I’ve been using it recently. Considering the price, it’s doing great! It helps me find boards or pins or people to follow from the same niche, set up a pinning schedule, re-pinning, etc. on complete automation. You should definitely have a look!
